Iran Press/ Middle East: On Wednesday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, after meeting with Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi says: "In these consultations, first of all, we talked about the agreements between the two countries after the Sultan of Oman's visit to Tehran, and fortunately we agreed with each other that in the past year and a half, the path to follow up on documents and agreements is progressing well."The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran added: Cooperation in the economy, trade, energy transit, science, and technology, and tourism were among the topics discussed.
Amir-Abdollahian noted: We believe that we have passed the stage of mere dialogue in the region and have entered the multilateral cooperation.
He stated: Last year, the Secretary General of the United Nations presented the initiative of the meeting of the foreign ministers of the eight Persian Gulf countries. I, the foreign ministers of Oman and Qatar agree that the continuation of this initiative in the region can lead to the cooperation of the eight countries of the Persian Gulf.
