Moscow (IP) - The 13th international exhibition of the petrochemical industry, machinery, and related industries 'RosPlast' kicked off in Moscow with the participation of 740 companies from Russia and 31 countries of the world.

Iran PressEurope: Iranian companies have eye-catching participation at the RosPlast exhibition by taking the largest number of booths and presenting knowledge-based products.

The expo began on June 6 and is underway until June 8, when the Iranian and Russian companies are supposed to sign more than 10 memoranda of cooperation.

In a meeting of the senior managers of the two countries petrochemical industry held on the sidelines of the event, Iran's Deputy Oil Minister Morteza Shahmirzaee pointed to Iran's plan for an increase in oil, gas, and petrochemical industry and called on the businessmen of Russia and other to invest in Iran.  

Shahmirzaee said with the implementation of investment plans, the capacity of Iran's petrochemicals will reach from 92 million tons to 140 million tons and then during a 6-year plan will reach 200 million tons. 

He said Iran is ready to provide technical services to the Russian oil and petrochemical industry and exchange chemicals and catalysts needed by the country amid the sanctions on both countries.

Iran's Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali, for his part, said Iran's public and private sectors are ready to shore up cooperation with the Russian side transit goods to Russia through Iran.

He said that the Iran-Russia trade reached $5 billion in 2022 and that the amount will reach about $8 billion until the next two years.
