Tehran (IP) - Commander of the Iranian Army's Air Defense Force said that the second version of the Bavar 373 Missile Defense System is under construction.

Iran PressIran News: Bavar 373 air defense system, the first long-range air defense system, was manufactured and designed by Iran's Khatam-ol-Anbia air defense Base, the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics (MODAFL).  

Sayyad 4B, is a solid-propellant missile equipped with advanced maneuverability, paired with the Bavar-373 system. 

All components of the Bavar-373 system are mounted on Zafar and Zoljanah Special Wheeled Chassis military vehicles.

After upgrading its missile system to Sayad 4B, Bavor 373 can detect targets from a distance of 450 km and intercept from 400 km, and it can target from 300 km distance, up to an altitude of 32 km.

Referring to the plan of the Air Defense Force to build the second version of the Bavar 373 system, Commander of the Air Defense Force Brigadier General Sabahi-Fard said: "The second version of the Bavar 373 missile defense system will be more advanced than the first version."

Sabahi-Fard noted that the new system will increase the power of the Air Defense Forces in the field of air defense.
