Iran Press/ Iran news: The MoU was signed between the Ministry of Science, Research, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy of the Presidency, Tehran Municipality and Tehran University, with presence of related officials.
Attending the event, Tehran's Mayor stressed: Tehran is a model for megacities in the country.
Alireza Zakani said that despite the problems and bottlenecks in Tehran, problems should be resolved through a cooperative management.
He said: Tehran has the largest number of scientists, professors and students, so this capacity of human elite should be used to make the city better.
He said that the body of the city is a worn-out body, so we should design and introduce a model city for the future by using knowledge and technology.
Zakani noted: We plan to design and build an active city in technology field with by putting all capacities into practice.
Tehran's Mayor went on to conclude that: We are trying to prepare a technological civilization for Tehran in cooperation with elites, science and knowledge.
Also as the other keynote speaker, Iran's Science, Research and Technology Minister said: Using science and technology can turn the region into a symbolic capital.
Referring to the role of science and technology, Mohammad-Ali Zolfigol stated: The country's technological capacities should be used to make the country progress.
