Iran Press/ Iran News: Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, on Monday morning, during a meeting with Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman, and his accompanying delegation, called the relations between Iran and Oman long-standing, deep-rooted, and good, and said: "We believe that the expansion of relations between the two countries benefits both sides in all fields."
Referring to the negotiations between the Iranian and Omani sides, the Leader pointed out: "The important thing is that these negotiations should be followed up seriously until tangible results are reached, and eventually ties should be expanded."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also highlighted the danger of the presence of the Israeli regime in the region and added: "The policy of the Israeli regime and its supporters is to create discord and lack of peace in the region, so all countries in the region should pay attention to this issue."
Ayatollah Khamenei noted that it was important to increase cooperation between Oman and Iran because the two countries shared the very important waterway of the Strait of Hormuz.
Referring to the remarks of the Sultan of Oman regarding Egypt's willingness to resume relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized: "We welcome this position and we have no problem in this regard."
Regarding the Sultan of Oman's satisfaction with the resumption of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, Ayatollah Khamenei said: "These issues are the result of the good policy of Mr. Raisi's Administration to expand and strengthen relations with neighbors and countries in the region."
In the end, the Leader expressed his hope that with the expansion of relations between the governments, the Islamic Ummah will regain its glory and that the capacities and facilities of the Islamic countries will benefit all Islamic nations, countries, and states.
In the meeting, which was attended by President Raisi, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, the Sultan of Oman, expressed his great satisfaction at the meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, called Oman's policy to expand relations with its neighbors, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran, and said: "During the talks in Tehran, various fields of cooperation were discussed and views were exchanged, and we hope that with the continuation of these talks, the relations between the two countries will expand further and its practical results will be evident for both sides."
