Iran Press/ Iran news: The conflict between the border guard forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Taliban forces took place on Saturday, May 27, 2023, on the border of Iran's Sistan and Baluchistan and Afghanistan's Nimroz provinces.
Rasoul Mousavi, an assistant to Iran's foreign minister and the director-general of the Foreign Ministry's West Asia Department, tweeted: "Any conflict between Iran and Afghanistan is detrimental to both sides."
Referring to the recent border clash between Iran's border guards and the Taliban in Sasoli area of the Zabul border regiment, which led to the martyrdom and injury of the Iranian border guards, Mousavi wrote on his Twitter page: "People and elites of two countries should be smart."
