More than 2,700 representatives of government authorities, business community, international organizations and media will take part in the business programme of the second Eurasian Economic Forum on 24–25 May in Moscow. The theme of the Forum is ‘Eurasian Integration in a Multipolar World’. The EAEF 2023 will include about 35 business sessions. The key event will be the plenary session of the Forum.

Iran PressIran News: “Over 2,700 guests who confirmed their participation include more than 500 foreign representatives from 54 countries. The Forum’s discussions are aimed at developing specific and practical solutions for the comprehensive economic development of the Eurasian Economic Union member states and countries of the Eurasian region. At the same time, the Forum will be a platform for business dialogue with over 650 business representatives from more than 450 companies,” emphasized Alexey Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. 

Representatives of the United Nations, the World Health Organization and the International Organization for Migration are expected to participate in the Forum.

One of the key discussions at the Forum will be held within the framework of the ‘Priorities for EAEU 2030+’ strategy session.

The session is expected to be attended by Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia; Igor Petrishenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus; Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Adylbek Kasymaliyev, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic; Alexey Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission; and Sergei Glazyev, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The main topic of the session is to prepare new long-term planning documents and identify the main vectors of integration cooperation for the period until 2030 and 2045. 

The second Eurasian Economic Forum is being held as part of the Russian Federation’s presidency of the EAEU bodies in 2023. The aim of the Forum is to improve cooperative ties in the Eurasian space.
