Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is in Indonesia for a two-day trip in order to expand and deepen economic and political interactions with Asian countries.

The last official bilateral visit of the presidents of Iran and Indonesia was 17 years ago.

Last night (Monday) before leaving Tehran, Raisi told the reporters at Mehrabad Airport that the level of economic and commercial relations is significant and said: This level of relations between the two countries is not acceptable and we must seek to improve it.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran added: During this trip, memorandums of understanding will be signed in economic, commercial, cultural, customs and health fields.
