Kaduna(IP)- Reports reaching Iran Press says in the earlier morning of Sunday, the outgoing Governor Of Kaduna State, Nasiru Ahmad Elrufai started demolitions of properties of members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria in different parts of the state.

Iran PressAfrica: A resident of Kaduna State who is also a member of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria told Iran Press correspondent that among the buildings demolished so far include Alkauthar hospital which is located in Hayin Rigasa, house of Sheikh Aliyu Tirmizi, who's the representative of Sheikh Zakzaky in Kaduna State, Qur'anic school and Fudiyya Islamic Primary and Secondary school in Tudu Wada.

On Wednesday, the Shi'a Community prayed a High Court of Justice in Kaduna for an order of perpetual injunction stopping Nasiru Elrufai from carrying out illegal destruction of Shi'a minority's properties.

Less than few days to his exit as Kaduna State Governor, Mr El-Rufai approved the final phase of demolition of properties belonging to the Islamic Movement, the residential complex in Gbagyi and others.

Musa Birnin Yaro, one of the teachers in Fudiyya Islamic school said apart from teaching our children education, nothing unlawful was being done in the school.

"This building you have seen demolished is our school. We only used it to educate our children. We did not commit any offence. We only saw bulldozer coming to us with large number of police. They told us that they came to demolish our school by order of the Governor."

Another Shi'a Muslim, Saminu Kusa Kaduna who also lost his house and properties told Iran Press ''I was in the house with my family. We heard sound of big vehicles outside. When I moved out to see what was going on, I saw a bulldozer in front of my house with police. They told me that they were here to demolish my house by order of the State Governor. They allowed me to take some few things. What could I take within this very short of time? I took very few small things, and as you can see, they destroyed all the house. Our sin was nothing but being Shi'a. We call on the International Community and human rights organisations to do something about the inhuman actions of governor Nasiru Elrufai."

On his side, Malam Aliyu Tirmizi, the representative of Sheikh Zakzaky in Kaduna State said they will continue to follow all legal ways to fight for their rights.

Recall, in December 2015, Federal Government of Nigeria under President Buhari murdered hundreds of unnamed innocent Shi'a Muslims of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria and demolished their worship places and house of Sheikh Zakzaky located in Gyallesu, Zaria in Kaduna State.

Though credible evidences of committing war crimes by the Nigerian authority were given to the International Court of Justice (ICC), both the former Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Yusuf Tukur Buratai and army commanders who led the Zaria massacre and Governor Nasiru Elrufai are not invited by the ICC.

On May 29, President Muhammadu Buhari and the 36 state governors will leave power after they finished their eight years' tenure as provided by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
