Iran Press/ Iran news: Nasser Kanaani expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the incident and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and grant of patience to the bereaved families to bear the loss with courage.
Kanaani, however, thanked God for saving the Jamaat-e-Islami leader Sirajul Haq from the terrorist attack.

According to the police sources, Haq, along with other political workers, was on his way to attend a public gathering in the district when his convoy was attacked, adding that he remained safe after the attack.
The nature of the explosion is yet to be confirmed, but some reports said it was carried out by a suicide bomber.
Security forces and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
A search operation is currently underway, and no group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
