The head of the World Judo Federation announced the end of Iran's judo ban in September of this year.

Iran PressIran news: The head of the World Judo Federation said: Iran’s judo ban will definitely end on the announced date (September of this year) and after that we will see their presence in international arenas.

In part of his speech at the closing ceremony of the 2023 world judo competition hosted by Qatar, Marius Vizer mentioned the end of Iran's four-year ban on judo and said: "Iranian representatives can attend all international events after the end of the ban period in September."

The World Judo Federation, following the events that took place in the 2019 World Judo Championship in Tokyo, announced the ban of the Iranian Judo Federation from participating in all competitions, events and social activities under the supervision of the World Judo Federation.

The suspension of Iran's judo came to effect when it became clear that the Iranian athletes did not compete against the Israeli athletes after previous warnings. 219
