Brasília (IP) - The Brazil-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group was formed with the presence and membership of prominent representatives from important Brazilian parties in the new term of the parliament of this country.

Iran PressAmerica: After the general elections in Brazil last year (2022) and the beginning of the new term of the House of Representatives, the parliamentary friendship group of Iran and Brazil was also activated with a new combination of representatives and its board of directors with diverse political tendencies and from different regions of the country.

The relations between Iran and Brazil have always been friendly and Iran has the highest volume of trade with Brazil in the Americas.

According to Iran Press, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Brazil, Hossein Gharibi, while appreciating the actions of the president and previous members and pointing out the importance and position of the parliaments of the two countries in the relations, especially in the last three years, expressed hope that in the 120th anniversary of relations, the parliaments of Brazil and Iran and friendship groups of both sides can help to improve relations more than ever.

Joaquim Passarinho, the new head of the Brazil-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group, also highlighted the common interests and friendship of the two nations and emphasized the readiness of the group and the parliament to help expand and deepen relations.
