Moscow (IP)- Iran's foreign minister gave a positive assessment of the Moscow quadrilateral meeting and said that in this meeting, forward steps were taken to bring the views of Türkiye and Syria closer together.

Iran PressMiddle East: The crisis in Syria began in 2011; Some countries, including Türkiye, were among the actors that supported the Syrian opposition, and Iran and Russia were two countries that supported the Syrian government in the war against terrorists.

Coinciding with the intensification of the Syrian crisis, political meetings regarding this crisis were held by the opponents and supporters of Damascus.

Opponents of the Syrian government held meetings in different countries, including Qatar and Türkiye, and supporters of Damascus also held meetings in Tehran and Moscow.

Meanwhile, meetings were also held with the simultaneous presence of the Damascus government and the opposition, including in Vienna, Geneva, and Astana.

The efforts made by the three countries of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Russia, and Türkiye were different from other meetings about Syria; These meetings, which were held in Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Russia, and Iran, reduced the crisis, especially the humanitarian crisis in Syria.

Taking advantage of the opportunity to attend the quadrilateral meeting in Moscow, separate meetings were held with the foreign ministers of Russia, Syria, and Türkiye, and discussions were held on the development of bilateral relations and especially the pursuit of economic and commercial cooperation.
