Florence (IP) - Iranian artists showcased traditional arts at the Florence International Crafts Fair, Italy.

Iran PressEurope: Iran's handcraft booths at the 87th International Handicrafts Fair in Florence, Italy were welcomed by visitors.

Iranian artists exhibited traditional Iranian arts at the Florence International Crafts Fair for seven days (April 25 to May 1, 2023).

"Fariborz Azizi", the director of the Iran Pavilion at the Florence Handicrafts Fair, told Iranpress correspondent in Italy: "This year, Iranian artists participated in this exhibition in the form of a group of 54 people thanks to the International Center for Foreign Trade support.

Iranian art, culture introduced in Italy

Azizi added: "Iranian artists had a strong presence at the Florence handicrafts exhibition, and in addition to presenting Iranian handicrafts, educational workshops were also held for Italians interested in traditional Iranian art and music."

The presence of Iranian artists at the Florence International Handicrafts Fair had a wide reflection on the local Italian TV channels.

An Italian visitor to Iran's booth at the Florence International Crafts Fair told Iranpress correspondent: "Iran's booth had a special atmosphere. We met a new culture; a culture whose traditional music and handicrafts are really pleasant."

The Florence Handicraft Fair is the oldest handicraft fair in Italy.
