Tehran (IP) - Iran's Director General of the National Cartographic Center reported the activation of coastal and offshore hydrography platforms in the Persian Gulf.

Iran PressIran news: Ali Javidaneh said at the 27th National Conference and Exhibition on Geomatics Engineering (Geomatics 2023) was held on May 1, 2023:"We can improve the capabilities of the country with minimal effort, so, we used the capacity of UAVs for mapping through the interactions we had with the Geographical Organization of the Armed Forces."

Referring to the cooperation of the National Cartographic Center with the Space Agency, Javidaneh said: "Khayyam satellite images are used in line with the mapping organization's missions."

He also said that the hydrography of the Persian Gulf has been fully implemented based on the standards.
