Rome (IP) – The Prime Minister of Ukraine, who traveled to Rome to meet with the Italian authorities, underlined that the Ukrainian army is currently NATO's army, because all Ukrainian weapons are NATO weapons.

Iran PressEurope: Denys Shmyhal said at a press conference at the Italian Foreign Press Center in Rome on Thursday that Ukraine's armed forces implement the standards of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Expressing his confidence that his country will become a strong and necessary NATO member in the near future, Shmyhal stressed that Ukraine's membership is also a positive thing for NATO.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine expressed his hope that the necessary decisions for Ukraine's prompt membership in NATO will be made at the upcoming meeting of NATO leaders, which is scheduled to be held on July 11 and 12 in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
Shmyhal also appreciated Italy's military aid to Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Italian government has provided extensive military aid to this country.
This is while in the past few months, tens of thousands of people have demonstrated in various Italian cities in support of peace, as well as in opposition to NATO and sending weapons to Ukraine.
Giuseppe Conte, the leader of the Five Star Movement party in Italy and the former prime minister of this country, also yesterday (Wednesday) in a group of journalists, once again opposed the sending of new weapons to Ukraine and called for an end to the war and the start of peace talks.
