Damascus (IP) - Syrian Minister of Industry discussed with the Iranian Oil Minister’s Deputy, Director of the General Company for Petrochemical Industries ways to boost cooperation between Syria and Iran in the field of developing industrial technologies and production lines, in a way that serves the interests of the two countries.

Meeting in Damascus on Wednesday, Abdul-Qader Jokhadar pointed out the necessity of developing production lines in the industrial sector in Syria and benefiting from Iranian expertise, especially in the field of manufacturing electric batteries, agricultural machinery, tires, and the development of the filtration system in cement factories to reduce polluting emissions, in addition to the production of optical cables.

Jokhadar affirmed the ministry’s readiness to cooperate in all fields of developing industrial cooperation between the two countries in the public and private sectors

For his part, the Iranian official Morteza Shahmirzaei stressed his country’s desire to provide the Syrian side with the expertise and pioneering experiences on the Iranian side of high technologies competing at the global level in the field of petrochemical, electronic, and textile industries.
