Tehran (IP)- Within the week ending on April 21, 2023, Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) witnessed a trade of 3,154,093 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of nearly 712 million USD, posting growths of 18% and 20% in volume and value of trades compared with the week before that.

Iran PressIran news: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw on its metals and minerals trading floor trade of 2,555,886 tonnes of commodities worth nearly 434 million USD.

On this floor, the IME sold 1,327,505 tonnes of cement, 608,000 tonnes of iron ore, 423,871 tonnes of steel, 175,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 60,600 tonnes of zinc, 13,335 tonnes of copper, 10,425 tonnes of aluminum, 500 tonnes of cast iron and 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate.

Furthermore, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 527,530 tonnes of commodities valued at more than 245 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 160,831 tonnes of bitumen, 137,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 102,349 tonnes of polymeric products, 58,000 tonnes of lube cut, 39,144 tonnes of chemicals, 23,320 tonnes of sulfur, 5,058 tonnes of base oil, 2,008 tonnes of petroleum products,290 tonnes of gas feedstocks and 200 tonnes of insulation.

The IME also traded within the same week 70,677 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
