Tehran (IP) - Britain announced further sanctions on Iranian officials, including members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and IRGC in "its entirety" on Monday.

The British government said those sanctioned included four regional commanders of the IRGC.

Those sanctioned include: 

Mohammad Nazar Azimi: IRGC Commander Najaf Ashraf West HQHabib

Shahsavari: IRGC Commander provincial corps West Azerbaijan Province

Mohsen Karimi: IRGC Commander Markazi Province.

Ahmad Kadem: IRGC Commander of the Operational Base Karbala.

The UK, the U.S., and the EU claim that they sanctioned these people for violating human rights.

These sanctions will ensure that the individuals on the list cannot travel to the UK and any of their assets held in the UK will be frozen.

Britain, in coordination with the United States and European Union, on Monday announced further sanctions on Iranian officials, including members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, it said were responsible for human rights violations, Reuters reported.

The British government said those sanctioned included four regional commanders of the IRGC.

Foreign Secretary James Cleverly announced a travel ban and assets freeze on four individuals and the IRGC "in its entirety".

The UK Foreign Secretary in a statement that the UK and their international partners will continue to take a range of action against the Islamic Republic.
