The spokesman for the Guardian Council, AbbasAli Kadkhodaie has said the ideas of young researchers do play a role in the decision-making process of the Guardian Council.

Iran Press/Iran news: The spokesman for Iran's Guardian Council Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaie in an exclusive interview with Iran Press International news agency on Wednesday, has described research as a basic tool and a necessity for all organisations involved in specialist work, including the Council of Guardians.

The Top Guardian Council official went on to say that since the body functions as a specialist and academic organization, and as the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has advised the staff to concentrate more on conducting research, in early 2000s the research center of the Council of Guardians was established, which in later years became a 'research institute.

Kadkhodaie added: "The research institute is now home to many young Iranian researchers and scientists who provide a very valuable service to the experts of the Council, researching intricate topics and reporting to the jurisprudential experts of the Guardian council. Undoubtedly the ideas and opinions of young researchers at the institute do influence the decision-making process of the Guardian Council." 101/211/203
