Iran Press/ America: On Wednesday morning, the fighter jets of the Israeli regime targeted Aleppo International Airport from the Mediterranean side, in the west of Latakia.
The Israeli regime's aerial attacks are at a time when the Syrian government has repeatedly sent letters to the United Nations and the UN Security Council, condemning these attacks and asking them to stop Israel.
On Thursday, at the Security Council meeting on the humanitarian and political situation in Syria, Zahra Ershadi added: "These terrorist attacks have severe humanitarian consequences for the people of Aleppo, who are currently facing a crisis, and will only worsen their situation."
The deputy representative of Iran in the United Nations said that International law prohibits the targeting of vital civilian infrastructure and it is necessary to observe humanitarian principles, but the Israeli regime continues its aggression and terrorist attacks against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria by deliberately and systematically targeting the vital infrastructure of Syria.
The senior diplomat of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the United Nations added: "The international community must condemn these attacks and hold the Israeli regime accountable for these crimes, while taking the necessary measures to prevent further encroachment on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria."

Ershadi added: "In particular, the UN Security Council should put aside its dual approach and by taking responsibility, condemn the Israeli regime for its continuous violation of the basic principles of international law and the UN Charter."
While Iran emphasizes its commitment to the national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Syria, together with its partners in the framework of the Astana process, Iran will continue unceasing efforts to achieve a lasting normalization of the situation in Syria, Ershadi said.
Ershadi said: "The illegal presence of foreign military forces in Syria is a clear violation of the UN Charter and international laws and is the main source of insecurity in this country and must be ended."
