Vienna (IP) - The Secretary-General of Iran's Drug-countering Headquarters says he wants to express the country's attitudes and achievements and expectations from the UN in the fight against narcotics.

Iran PressEurope: The annual meeting of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs kicked off on Monday in Vienna with the presence of Iran's Secretary General of Drug Controlling Headquarters Eskandar Momeni being scheduled to deliver a speech at the event.   

Eskandar Momeni told IranPress that an exhibition of Iran's achievements in the fight against narcotics has been opened at the United Nations headquarters.

Momeni said that on the sidelines of the event, he would have bilateral and multilateral meetings and highlighted the document of 5-year cooperation between Iran and the UN was to be one of the significant programs of his trip to Vienna.

Regarding the issue of Afghanistan and the production of opium, he reported a multilateral meeting with the participation of the UN, Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan that would be held in Vienna, where Iran's demands would be expressed.
