At least four Palestinians were shot and injured and others suffered from tear gas inhalation when the Israeli army attacked the village of Nabi Saleh, near Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday.

Iran Press/Middle East: Israeli forces stormed the village of Nabi Saleh in Ramallah, West Bank and proceeded to fire tear gas canisters toward homes, provoking residents, according to the Palestinian news agency, WAFA.

The soldiers attacked residents with tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets, shooting and injuring at least four people.

Others were treated for tear gas inhalation.

Also on November 03, a young Palestinian protester was shot and injured by Israeli forces during protests in the central occupied West Bank district of Ramallah.

On October 22, a Palestinian youth was martyred by Israeli troops firing live rounds near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the southern West Bank town of Al-Khalil.

Palestinian towns and villages in the Nablus area are surrounded by Israeli settlements and outposts, many of which are protected by the Israeli army, and are home to the most extremist of Zionist settlers.

The Palestinian government has no jurisdiction over Israelis in the occupied West Bank, and violent acts carried out by militant Israeli settlers often occur in the presence of Israeli military forces who never intervene to protect Palestinian residents.

In recent months, there has been a sharp rise in raids conducted by Israeli security forces in the occupied West Bank.
