Tehran (IP) - Iranian Interior Minister said on Wednesday that a meeting was held Education Minister, Health Ministry officials, experts from Civil Defense Organization, security agencies, and governors to investigate poisoning of students which caused public concern.

Iran PressIran news: The Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran rejected rumors on arrest of suspects in connection with the gas poisoning of students.

In the past few days, a number of school girls suffered gas poisoning in some Iranian cities.

Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi on the sideline of the cabinet meeting on Wednesday said: Following the recent incidents related to the poisoning of students, which caused public concern, a meeting was held with the presence of the Minister of Education, Health Ministry officials, experts from Civil Defense Organization, security agencies, and some governors. 

The Minister of Interior added: The news that people have been arrested as the perpetrators of this sabotage is not true.

He also refuted the rumors related to students being paralyzed due to gas inhalation and said: A large number of students were stressed due to the release of gas in schools, which was not due to gas inhalation.

According to the Minister of Interior, the issue is under investigation.
