Iran Press/ Iran News: Head of the Middle East and North Africa Division of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland Maya Tissafi meets with Senior Advisor to Iran’s Foreign Minister in Political Affairs Ali Asghar Khaji.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments concerning the situation in Syria after the recent quake, the fragile humanitarian situation in the country, and the process of political developments in Syria, as well as the developments in Yemen.
Khaji expressed regret over the recent quake in Syria and called for greater cooperation from the international community in sending humanitarian aid to Syria.
He also noted that the attacks by Israel against residential areas in Syria, while the people of the country are trying to pull their loved ones from under the debris, shows the aggressive nature of the Zionist regime.
Khaji also talked about Yemen and the humanitarian crisis in the country, underlining the necessity of immediate removal of the humanitarian and economic siege on Yemen and also the establishment of a ceasefire there.
