Tabriz (IP) - The exhibition of achievements and investment opportunities in the Aras commercial-industrial free zone titled Aras EXPO-2023 was held at Tabriz's permanent international fairground.

Iran PressIran news: This exhibition was held with the aim of displaying export-oriented investment capacities in the Aras commercial-industrial free zone and with the presence of more than 60 companies in the sectors of industry, tourism, handicrafts, knowledge-based products, and agriculture.

Vahid Khoshzar, an expert of a greenhouse company in the Aras Free Trade Zone, told the Iran Press reporter in Tabriz that the largest hydroponic glass greenhouse in West Asia with an area of 85 hectares is being launched.

He announced the operation of the first phase of this greenhouse on 16 hectares under cultivation in February 2024 and added that with the opening of this phase, about 25,000 tons of agricultural products will be prepared for export.

Abd al-Bahar, a Turkish investor in a company producing breakfast chocolate in Aras Free Zone, also said in an interview with an Iran Press reporter in Tabriz, that the main goal of this company is to provide quality chocolate products to the people of Iran.

Masoud Ghafoorzadeh, the CEO of a paper-producing company in the Aras Free Zone considered investing in this area appropriate and said that the goal of this company is to export, and that is why the Aras Zone can be a good platform for exporting manufactured products.

Ali Azimi, the chairman of the board of directors of an adhesive production company in Aras Free Zone, also pointed to the important position of Iran's free zones in terms of exports and said that most of the company's products are exported to Iraq, Syria, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Armenia, and new proposals have been received from Germany and Kuwait for export.

The exhibition introducing the achievements, capabilities, and opportunities of export-oriented investment in Aras Azad Commercial-Industrial Zone was held for five days, from February 14 to 18, 2023 at Tabriz and was well received by the people, economic activists, and merchants.
