Tehran (IP) - The Deputy Head of the Regional Centre on Urban Water Management (RCUWM) reported the pending 13th meeting of the center's board of governors in Tehran on February 23.

Iran PressIran news: RCUWM has been established under the auspices of UNESCO since 2002 in Tehran-Iran in order to achieve goals of scientific research, technology transfer, and capacity building in the region.

Alireza Salamat said that the meeting would be chaired by Iran's Minister of Energy and participation of the member states' senior relevant officials. 

He said the event aims to review the cooperation of the RCUWM member states in the programs of the center, as well as to examine and approve training, capacity building, and research plans at the regional level.

The Governing Board members of RCUWM are water-related Ministers from different countries as well as representatives of the Director General of UNESCO and other international organizations.
