Tehran (IP) - The Sultan of Oman sent a written message to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the expansion of Muscat-Tehran bilateral relations.

Iran PressIran news: According to Iran Press News Agency, Oman's ambassador to Tehran, Ibrahim Ahmed Al Mu'aini, on Monday met with Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and delivered a written message to Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran regarding the expansion of Muscat-Tehran bilateral relations.

The Ambassador of Oman to Iran also discussed the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in various fields in a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran.

"The relations between Iran and Oman in the last few decades, despite the tensions in the Persian Gulf and our efforts to intensify Iranophobia, have always been based on mutual respect and interests," he said, adding: "Omani officials believe that close relations with Iran are based on realism and consider Iran a great neighbor.

The two countries have no territorial and border disputes with each other, and Iran's support for Oman has been positively and permanently imprinted in Oman's historical memory.
