Tehran (IP) - The Head of Tehran University's Science and Technology Park says the complex is ready to meet Nicaragua's needs in such fields as oil, petrochemical, and agriculture.

Iran PressIran News: Meeting with the Nicaraguan Ambassador to Tehran, Isaac Lenin Bravo, on Friday, Ali Assadi said the Science and Technology Park of Tehran University enjoyed capacities to develop its activities in a wide range of scientific fields in cooperation with universities and the government of Nicaragua.

Assadi said that the Iranian knowledge-based companies have managed to create capacities in order to neutralize the sanctions imposed on the country. 

Nicaragua's envoy, for his part, said that relations between Iran and Latin American countries, especially Nicaragua, got stronger during President Raisi's term.

Lenin Bravo recalled the common grounds of Iran and Nicaragua, especially in the fight against colonialism and imperialism, and called for the joint science and technology committee of the two countries. 

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived at Managua Airport on Wednesday and was welcomed by his Nicaraguan counterpart. 

Meeting with Nicaraguan President Danial Ortega, the Iranian FM stressed that the development of Nicaragua and the energy security of the country is of paramount importance for Iran.
