Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, on his first trip to Latin America.

In recent years, relations between Iran and the progressive countries of Latin America, including Nicaragua, have always been on the rise, and these relations have been expanding in political, economic, commercial, industrial, energy, health and other fields.

Amir-Abdullahian was welcomed by his counterpart "Dennis Moncada" upon arrival.

Amir-Abdollahian addressed the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister and said: Your recent trip to Tehran was successful. Our colleagues prepared the long-term cooperation document between the two countries and we hope it will be finalized and signed soon.

Denis Moncada, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua, visited Tehran last December.
