Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that the US accusing Iran of violating UN Security Council 2231 resolution is hypocritical.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a tweet on Sunday that the US is falsely accusing Iran of violating UN Security Council 2231 resolution while it has earlier breached the same resolution.

‘Surrealism’ is now the US' modus operandi in its foreign affairs: While itself violates UNSCR 2231—and even threatens to punish those who don't wish to violate it in abiding with illegal US sanctions—it now falsely accuses Iran of violating the very SAME resolution. #Hypocrisy

In a tweet on Saturday, US secretary of state  Mike Pompeo claimed that Islamic Republic of Iran has just test-fired a medium range ballistic missile that’s capable of carrying multiple warheads.

Responding to Mike Pompeo's allegation that Iran's missile program is violating UNSCR 2231, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Ghassemi said Iran's missile program is a defensive program and designed according to the needs of the country.
