Tehran (IP) - The Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) says the non-European satellites are broadcasting the areas formerly covered by the European-sanction ones.

Iran PressIran news: Peyman Jebelli told reporters on the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, January 25, 2023: "After the ban on our overseas networks on the European satellites, we established a good connection with non-European satellites."

Jebelli reiterated that despite the sanctions, the coverage of the IRIB's overseas networks has not been interrupted.

Earlier, following the French satellite operator Eutelsat's plan to take Press TV off the air, weeks after the European Union imposed sanctions on the Tehran-based broadcaster, the head of IRIB's World Service Broadcasting Ahmad Norouzi said that this shameful decision is a violation of International laws including maintaining free speech.

He also reported about the show series prepared for Ramadan month and Nowruz.
