Gaza (IP) - Iran's parliament has named January 19 "Gaza Day" to honor the resistance of the Gaza Strip in the 22-day war in 2008 against the Zionist regime.

Iran PressIran news: Iran has always provided full-scale support to the Palestinian people and resistance to stand against the Israeli regime to defend their rights.

With the support of the US, Europe, and some Arab countries, the Zionist regime is trying to destroy the roots of Resistance in the Palestinian land by launching various wars, including the 22-day war in Gaza.

On the occasion of Gaza Day, some Palestinian youths and officials in an interview with IranPress stated that Iran's commemoration of Gaza Day shows the true support of the Islamic Republic of Palestine.

Ahmed al-Halabi, a Palestinian youth living in Gaza, expressed his gratitude to the Islamic Republic, saying that the residents of Gaza are grateful to the people and Iran's leader Ayatollah Khamenei for supporting the stability of the Palestinian people.

He also emphasized that the repeated attacks of the Israeli regime on Gaza since 2008 have not destroyed the will of the resistance, but the Palestinian resistance has increased its strength.

Jabar Abu Hedros, another Palestinian youth, said that the Islamic Republic has always stood by the oppressed people of Palestine and the Palestinians are grateful to the people and the leader of the Islamic Republic.

Hani Al-Thawabata, a senior official in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), also said the naming of "Gaza Day" by Iran shows the continuation of the Islamic Republic's support for the cause of Palestine.
