Ankara (IP)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived at Ankara airport, for a one-day trip.

Iran PressIran news: Upon his arrival in Ankara, Iran's foreign minister told reporters that Turkiye, as one of its neighbors, has the best relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.

Amir- Abdollahian praised the level of relations between Tehran and Ankara and emphasized that the ties between the two countries are on the right track.

He also opened the first round of negotiations with his Turkish counterpart after being welcomed. Regional and international issues, the development of bilateral political, economic, and consular relations, and the evaluation of the results of Iran's top diplomat's regional trip, to Lebanon and Syria, are the most important topics in the dialogue between the foreign ministers of Iran and Turkiye in Ankara.

Iran's Foreign Minister will also meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
