Iran Press/ Middle East: According to the correspondent of Iran Press, Hossein Amiramirabdollahian in a joint press conference with Abdallah Bouhabib, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon in Beirut said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has been and will be a friend of Lebanon during its difficult times.
In response to a question about the process of electing the president of Lebanon and Iran's involvement in this matter, Iran's foreign minister said: We have no interference in Lebanon's internal affairs.
In another part of his speech, Amir Abdollahian stated: We invite all political currents in Lebanon to act on the path of dialogue and agreement as soon as possible to elect the president and complete the political process in Lebanon.
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran added: We have no doubt that the various political currents in Lebanon will be able to appoint their president without any foreign interference.

Hossein Amirabdollahian, in response to another question regarding the recent talks between the Syrian and Turkish authorities and Iran's view of these talks, clarified: We are happy with the Syrian and Turkish talks and that the problems of the two countries will be resolved through dialogue.
Also, in response to a question about Iran's relations with Saudi Arabia and the talks between the two countries, he said: We had several talks with Saudi Arabia in Baghdad in the past months, and on the sidelines of the Baghdad 2 meeting in Jordan, we had a short talk with the Saudi Foreign Minister.
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran added: "We have never taken the lead in cutting ties with any country in the Islamic world, including Saudi Arabia, and we welcome the return of relations between the two countries to a normal state and the opening of the embassies of the two countries within the framework of the talks that we will have."Emphasizing that we consider the security of Lebanon to be the security of Iran and the region, Amir Abdullahian stated: Iran continues to strongly support the resistance movements in Lebanon and Palestine against the arrogance of the Zionist regime.
In another part of his speech in this press conference, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated that in the meeting with the Foreign Minister of Lebanon, ways of commercial, economic, and tourism development were discussed in line with the growth of the production of the two countries.
He noted: to reduce the pain and Lebanon's economic pressures, during my last trip to Lebanon, decisions were made between the two countries and progress has been made in this field between the two countries. In this regard, the Lebanese technical team came to Iran a while ago and ways of fuel cooperation were examined.
