Iran Press/ Europe: Hamid Nouri, 61, an Iranian citizen, was arrested by Sweden's security forces on November 9, 2019, upon his arrival to Sweden to follow up on family issues.
On his court trial on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, Hamid Nouri said that he found the court unfair and that he would not attend it until his problems were addressed and solved.
The Swedish convicted Nouri over the false charge of human rights violations, namely alleged participation in executions of MKO terrorists (MEK or Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization) in the first decade of Iran's Islamic Revolution.

The judge then ordered to silence his microphone but Hamid Nouri loudly said: "I have no access to an ophthalmologist and therefore I don't have the ability to read the documents of the case."
"I have been in solitary confinement for three years and two months (38 months); the judge has declared that the restrictions on me has been lifted, yet I cannot make a call."
Nouri was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Swedish court while he had not been provided even a translator to get informed about the content of the verdict.
