Tehran (IP)- The government-proposed budget bill for the fiscal year of 1402 (starting on March 20, 2023) is underway for discussion at parliament's open session on Wednesday.

Iran PressIran News: Today's public session of the Parliament started a few minutes chaired by the Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

A few minutes ago Raisi entered the parliament to present the budget bill for the next year.

The representatives of the Parliament are now receiving Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi in an open session.

In the president's letter for the presentation of the next year's budget bill, a request for the extension of the sixth development program has also been submitted.

Ebrahim Raisi in the open session of the Parliament said that the next year’s budget was tried to match the policies of the Leader and the 7th Development Plan.

He also said: "With the efforts of the government and the parliament, it is expected that we will not face a budget deficit this year." 

The prediction of the sale of 1.4 million barrels of oil per day, at $85 per barrel, a 26% growth in the construction budget, and no change in cash subsidies are among the most important items mentioned in the budget.
