Iran Press/ Iran news: Ali Bahadri-Jahormi, the spokesman of the government in a press conference being held on Tuesday morning, while congratulating the beginning of the New Year to the Iranian Christians and the Christians around the world, said: "We wish for a year without threats and wars and full of happiness all over the world."
He said: "Today is the third martyrdom anniversary of the beloved general of all Iranians and the defender of global security, Hajj Qassem Soleimani."
He further said: "It is the day of resistance and the day when all Iranians honor the greatness and bravery of a man whose heart was beating for all Iranians and who was a role model for kindness all across Iran."
"The memory of this martyr and the martyrs of the resistance and other martyrs of the region will always be kept alive and, God willing, we hope we will follow their exemplars in the field of governance," he added.
He further said that Iran is now among the 10 countries which are recognized as the manufacturers of telescopes in the world.
