Iran Press/ Iran News: Announcing the details of the event on Sunday, the Head of the Popular Headquarters of the commemoration of the third anniversary of the martyrdom of Lt. General Hajj Qassem Soleimani, Hamid-Reza Moghaddam-Far called Iran's top general as the symbol of Iranian and Islamic identity.
Moghaddam-Far further explained that Martyr Soleimani was seeking to elevate and promote the revolution to a higher level and that he considered the whole of Iran as the haram or shrine whose damage could have an impact on all holy shrines.
Iran’s top anti-terror commander, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, was martyred in a US drone strike directly ordered by Former US president Donald Trump near the Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020. The attack also martyred the deputy chief of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis among others.
