Tehran (IP) - According to the Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage of Iran, in the last year, apart from Yalda, silk weaving, oud and needlework were also registered.

Iran PressIran news:  in a press conference on Wednesday, which was held on the occasion of Yalda's world registration, in response to Iran Press's question about the registered works in the last year, mentioned three of them.

Darabi added: "In the field of tangible heritage, we have one share per year, and this year Yalda was registered in the world record.

"He added: 56 caravanserais, Izmar forests shared between Iran and Azerbaijan, Masuoleh (a traditional village in the north of Iran), Hamadan, and Hegmataneh are also on the agenda of tangible heritage registration.

The Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage said: We have a share every other year in the field of intangible heritage, and since We used it last year, this year, Yalda with Afghanistan was registered. silk weaving with Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, making oud instruments with Syria, and needlework with Tajikistan was also registered.

Darabi emphasized: Several intangible cases are also on the agenda, such as Razavi's Eftar and the celebration of "the century" are among these works.

In the end, he said: a complete list of Iran's cultural heritage has been collected in both fields to be followed in order of priority and importance.

Ali Darabi detailed Iran's efforts to register Yalda Night in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

 

 

While thanking Iran's representation in UNESCO, he said: "We jointly have registered the event with the former government of Afghanistan. [The currunt] Afghanistan's ambassador to UNESCO is not representing the Taliban. The pre-Taliban political system appointed him, but because the Taliban do not believe in such celebrations, they did not help us register for the event."

"Afghan Taliban do not believe in celebrating Yalda Night, and according to UNESCO, they have not taken any action to register the event in the UNESCO World Heritage List," he added.

He continued: "This year, our Yalda has become global. Yalda is a sign of grace and the manifestation of God's lordship in day and night circulation and a wonderful tradition of our Iranian ancestors. Yalda is as old as Nowruz."Related news:

"Unlike many festivals, this is the only festival that takes place at night," Darabi said. He also referred to the statements of the Indian ambassador to UNESCO about Yalda Night and added: "The Indian ambassador said that the people of India, with more than one billion people, are with us."

The Deputy Minister pointed out the leading role of the media and their help in the Yalda Night registration process and evaluated it as essential.
