Tehran (IP)- In a meeting held on Sunday, the Iranian and Nicaraguan foreign ministers signed a comprehensive cooperation document between the two countries.

Iran PressIran News: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian received his Nicaraguan counterpart, Denis Moncada, on Sunday in Tehran.

During the meeting, the two ministers signed a comprehensive cooperation document.

The two foreign ministers had met for the first time on the sidelines of the 77th United Nations General Assembly in New York in September.

Amir-Abdollahian announced Iran's readiness to upgrade the relations between the two countries in the economic and commercial fields to the highest level.

Welcoming the signing of the comprehensive cooperation, he called it a new and strategic road map for expanding the relations between the two countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua expressed hope that with the signing of the comprehensive cooperation and the holding of the first joint commission between Iran and Nicaragua soon, the relations between the two countries will expand even more.
