Tehran (IP) - The President described recognizing and meeting the needs of contemporary human society as the main mission of the seminary and the university and emphasized that science should be useful and saviour for mankind.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking before noon on Sunday at the 6th conference celebrating the anniversary of the unity of the Seminary and University, Ebrahim Raisi called this occasion a good excuse to review the goals, methods, and dos and don'ts of learning and knowledge.

The President considered the seminary as the center of knowing and learning the word of God and the university as the center of knowing and learning the deeds of God and added: "Regardless of whether this science is learned in the seminary or the university, it should be useful and saviour for mankind."

Raisi described recognizing and meeting the needs of contemporary human society as the main mission of the seminary and the university and emphasized: "The recognition of these needs depends on the seminary and the university being of the people, among the people and with the people, and providing solutions based on solid and rich Islamic scientific principles to solve problems."

The President considered the timely identification of the dangers facing the society and the courage to give timely warnings as the characteristics of real intellectuals and emphasized: "Intellectuals and religious and academic scholars should be on the path of explaining the facts without fear."

Raisi described learning knowledge and increasing insight, and trying to implement justice as one of the characteristics of the revolutionary seminary and said: "Revolutionary forces emerging from the seminary both study well and have an effective and constructive presence in the social field to identify and resolve issues based on logic, planning and rationality."
