Iran Press/ Iran news: Reacting to the termination of Iran's membership in the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), Kazem Gharibabadi, Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and Secretary of the I.R of Iran's High Council for Human Rights, said: "It is a bitter irony that the American regime presents itself as the defender of Iranian women's rights."
The membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women ended on Wednesday evening following the illegal request of the United States to end this membership based on baseless claims and fabricated arguments using fake narratives and contradicting the spirit and text of the United Nations Charter.

This resolution was approved with 29 votes in favor, 8 votes against, and 16 abstentions.
Bolivia, China, Kazakhstan, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Oman, Russia, and Zimbabwe voted against canceling Iran's membership in the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).
The Commission on the Status of Women is one of the pillars of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The resolution to cancel Iran's membership in the Commission on the Status of Women was presented by the US government in continuation of the global pressure against Iran with the aim of supporting the unrest.

According to Iran Press, Kazem Gharibabadi wrote in a tweet on Wednesday night:
The USA fully supports the assassination of thousands of Iranian women and children by terrorist groups, imposes cruel and barbaric sanctions with irreparable effects, especially on women and children, and fully supports the killing of Iranian women and children by the Saddam regime during the imposed war so that it has shown the only thing that it does not think about in Iran is the rights of women and girls.
He added: "The US government is only pursuing its inhumane and anti-human rights interests and goals behind its fraudulent and hypocritical statements."
The American government and its western allies, despite the claims of a diplomatic approach at the same time as the recent events in Iran, by interfering in the internal affairs of the Islamic Republic and aligning with the opposition, supported the unrest and proposed a draft resolution to terminate Iran's membership in the United Nations Commission on Women. to make a decision about this in ECOSOC to establish a dangerous heresy in the United Nations for non-aligned countries.
