Iran Press/ Iran news: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a statement regarding the imposition of sanctions against certain individuals and institutions in the European Union.
In the statement, it is stated: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, according to the approvals of the relevant authorities, within the framework of the relevant rules and sanctions mechanisms and as a reciprocal action, pus under sanctions the following institutions and persons in the European Union due to their deliberate actions in support of terrorism and terrorist groups, promotion and incitement to terrorism, violence, and spreading hatred, which have caused disturbances, violence, terrorist acts, and human rights violations against the Iranian nation."
The following institutions are subject to sanctions:
1-Radio Farda (Persian section of Radio Free Europe)
2-Zamane Radio
3- Charlie Hebdo magazine
4- Water Engineering Trading GmbH (W.E.T.), participated in the production of chemical weapons used by the Saddam regime during the imposed war against the Iranian nation.
5- Gidlemeister Projekta GmbH, participation in the production of chemical weapons used by the Saddam regime during the imposed war against the Iranian people.
The following persons are subject to sanctions:
1) Michael Trautermann, liaison commander of the German Air Force and Ramstein Air Base;
2) Colonel Holger Kunkel, commander of the German forces in Iraq;
3) Eric David, lawyer of the MKO terrorist group in Camp Ashraf and Liberty and the European Court of Justice;
4) Bernard Kouchner, French politician, and diplomat;
5) Hannah Neumann, Member of the European Parliament;
6) Rita Sussmuth, former Speaker of the German Parliament;
7) Claudia Roth, former vice president of the German Parliament;
8) Volker Beck, a former member of the German Parliament;
9) Norbert Lammert, a former member of the German Parliament;
10) Kramp Karrenbauer, former defense minister of Germany.
The mentioned sanctions include the ban on issuing visas and the impossibility of entering the above-mentioned persons into the Islamic Republic of Iran and the confiscation of their property and assets in the territory under the jurisdiction of the Islamic Republic of Iran. All institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, according to the approvals of the relevant authorities, will take the necessary measures to implement these sanctions.
The Islamic Republic of Iran, recalling the obligations of the European Union and the respective governments of the above persons and institutions, considers the support, facilitation, and failure to deal with the actions of these persons and institutions to be a violation of the international obligations of the European Union and the member states, and considers them responsible and accountable.
