Tehran (IP) - The Iranian foreign ministry on Saturday summoned the UK Ambassador to Iran Simon Shercliff over the remarks by the British authorities about Iran's internal affairs.

Iran Press/Iran news: The UK officials' interference policy and remarks about Iran's internal affairs and the support of the British government to rioters in Iran, as well as the imposing hypocritical sanctions against the Iranian citizens by the UK were strongly condemned during the meeting with the ambassador by the Iranian diplomats.

British authorities' support for the terror and riots in Iran, as well as imposing illegal sanctions against several Iranian officials were among the reasons for which UK ambassador  Simon Shercliff was summoned to the Iranian foreign ministry.

On 20 December, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the UK Ambassador to Tehran, Simon Shercliff, for the fourth time over attacks on the Iranian embassy in London.

Today was the fifth time that the UK ambassador to Tehran is summoned for the past two months.

It was also emphasized that the Persian language's anti-Iranian media in London and efforts for the continuation of the riots in Iran will get nowhere and will only increase the hatred of the Iranian people towards the British anti-Iranian policies.

Furthermore, the accusations leveled against Tehran for the alleged exports of drones to Russia were strongly rejected, and it was reminded that what has caused the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine is the sending of deadly weapons by Britain and its partners to Kyiv.

Shercliff said in the meeting that he will convey Iran's viewpoints to this respective country at the earliest possible time.

On Friday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the German ambassador for Berlin's supportive positions on chaos and instability in Iran.
