An “assassination attempt” targeted Pakistan’s top diplomat in Afghanistan on 2 December 2022. The attacker failed to harm the Pakistani diplomat but shot and wounded security guards.
Nasser Kanaani also condemned the attacks on a school in Samangan province and the attack on the office of the Hezb-e-Islami on Friday, stating that the result of the continuation of terrorist attacks is the destabilization of Afghanistan and is against the interests of the people of the country and region.
He called on the necessity of joint regional cooperation to deal effectively with terrorism.
