Iran’s Foreign Minister on Saturday offered his condolences over the sudden death of his Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makei.

Iran PressIran News: In his message, Hossein Amirabdollahian expressed his deep regret over the death of Makei, praising him for his great efforts to expand relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Amirabdollahian also expressed sympathy with the late Belarusian foreign minister’s family as well as the people and government of that country.

Belarus’s state news agency, Belta, on Saturday, reported that Makei had passed away suddenly at the age of 64.

He had served as the country’s foreign minister since 2012.

The cause of his death has not been announced yet.
