Iran Press/ Iran news: Ebrahim Raisi, in a meeting with the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko on Wednesday morning, said: "Developing and strengthening the relationship of countries that have been subjected to cruel sanctions due to their efforts to preserve their independence, is one of the most effective solutions and a way out of the sanctions."
Pointing out that the Islamic Republic of Iran has made significant progress in all fields, including in the economic field, despite the cruel and unprecedented sanctions, the President added: "Today, Iran and Belarus have diverse and significant capacities to develop interactions with each other."
Raisi stated: "The serious will of the heads of the two countries to improve the level of mutual relations can remove possible obstacles on the way to the expansion of interactions."
In this meeting, the Prime Minister of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko, stated that the approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran to strengthen regional interactions has created a new perspective for improving the level of relations between the two countries, and stated: "My visit to Iran follows the emphasis of the President of Belarus to accelerate the implementation of agreements made in his two meetings with your Excellency."
Pointing out that relations between the two countries have always been friendly and that Tehran and Minsk have had constructive cooperation in the international arena, the Prime Minister of Belarus added: "Today, the political coordination between the two countries is at the highest level and the time has come to expand economic relations."
Golovchenko also pointed to the three-fold growth of trade between the two countries in the last year and noted: "By the order of the President of Belarus, we have carefully examined the history of the relations between the two countries and have determined the roadmap for expanding cooperation and the headings for improving the level of relations between the two countries to implement them quickly."
