Tehran (IP) - The positions of terrorist outfits in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq were targeted by Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps missile and drone attacks, a statement by the IRGC Public Relations unit announced.

Iran PressMiddle East: Four surface-to-surface missiles of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps have hit the headquarters of terrorist outfits in Kuisanjaq, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, early Monday morning.

Koy Sanjaq, also called Koysinjaq is a town and district in Erbil Governorate in Kurdistan Region, Iraq.

According to Iran Press News Agency, at the same time, the headquarters of terrorist outfits in "Zarguiz" and "Panakore" areas near Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, was attacked by IRGC drones.

Sabourin News Telegram channel reported that at the same time as these drone and missile attacks, the alarm was sounded in the American consulate in Erbil.

Some local sources in Iraqi Kurdistan report that as a result of Monday's attacks, 26 terrorists have been killed so far.

This operation was carried out by the drone and missile units of the Ground Forces of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps.

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) hit the separationist groups on September 24 and November 14 after successive warnings to the terrorist groups and stressed that as long as their destructive acts were not stopped, the operations would continue.

On October 8, the IRGC declared that the attack on the terrorists' positions was stopped after the predetermined targets were destroyed, but the continuation of the missile attacks would depend on future behavior.

The Commander of the IRGC's Ground Forces, Brigadier-General Mohammad Pakpour, had earlier noted that the operations would continue until the full disarmament of the terrorist groups.
