Tehran (IP) - The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia appreciated Iran's principled and constructive positions regarding the territorial integrity of countries in the region and the immutability of international borders.

Iran PressIran News:  Mnatsakan Safaryan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, who is in Tehran, met with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Sunday evening.

In this meeting, Amir Abdollahian expressed satisfaction with the growing relations between the two friendly and neighboring countries. He described the opening of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Qapan as a practical and essential step to increase bilateral trade exchanges and move towards achieving a favorable perspective in economic relations.

For his part, Safaryan referred to the recent visit of Amir-Abdollahia to Armenia and the opening of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Qapan and described the move as a major development and a turning point in the process of expanding relations between the two countries.

He also highly appreciated friendly Iran's principled and clear position on Armenia's territorial integrity, as well as the sovereignty of countries in the region and the immutability of international borders.

He pointed to the available capacities and infrastructures for the expansion of bilateral economic relations and emphasized the need to follow up and make efforts to implement the agreements that have been made.
